Look-alike letters
The full UTS #39 confusables table — 1,844 mappings from Unicode 17.0.0. A Cyrillic а posing as a Latin a is caught, while ordinary Russian is left alone, because folding is scoped to mixed-script words.
File metadata
EXIF and GPS, XMP, C2PA manifests, document authorship, revision IDs, and the page-one thumbnail most tools forget. Lossless — chunks are deleted, never re-encoded, so a JPEG does not lose a generation to have its location removed.

What this cannot promise
Character removals are facts — we name every codepoint we took out. A writing-style score is a heuristic. Presenting the two at equal confidence would be dishonest, so the report keeps them apart and so does this page.
- Removing a mark does not mean the content was never AI-assisted.
- No tool can certify that cleaned text will fail a vendor’s detector. Vendors publish neither detectors nor keys, so anyone claiming otherwise is guessing.
- C2PA soft binding survives a metadata strip — it can re-link to a remote manifest.
- Pixel-embedded image watermarks are out of scope. Audio and video are not supported at all.
