Who operates Gifi, and what we will not claim.

Gifi is a small pair of tools. One rewrites prose so a statistical trail such as Claude’s SynthID-Text mark is no longer the original sequence. The other strips invisible Unicode and file credentials — EXIF, XMP, C2PA, document properties — that actually sit in the bytes.

The two tools

They are separate because they have different costs and different standards of proof. Pasting on the home page is free and stays in your browser. Continuing a rewrite, or cleaning a file, spends a credit and runs on our machines. See how Claude’s watermark works and how file marks work.

What we will not claim

• That rewritten text will fail Anthropic’s detector. SynthID-Text uses a private key. We cannot see it.
• That a rewrite or a strip proves human authorship, or removes a disclosure the law or a platform requires.
• That every C2PA trace is gone. Soft binding can re-link to a remote manifest.
• Pixel-embedded image watermarks, audio, or video. Those are out of scope.
